Rules

  • Work should be completed within the allotted time.
  • Only the chosen colours can be used in Round 2.
  • If the artwork is not related to the topic, the contestant will be eliminated.
  • No copying, referencing, or inspiration from others will be allowed.
  • Participants must bring their own art supplies and materials as needed after viewing the themes.
  • Only paper will be provided by the organizers.

EventOutline

  • Round 1
    • Students must participate individually in Round 1.
    • Topic – Upgrade the Given Drawing
    • Time – 80 mins
    • For this challenge, participants will be given a drawing of a PG (play group) student and will have to recreate it with their current skills. The goal is to upgrade the drawing while maintaining key elements of the original. This means preserving the essence, subject, and overall composition of the childhood drawing, but adding depth, detail, and sophistication that reflect their improved artistic abilities.
    • The finalists of this round will be qualified for the second round.
    • Participants will be judged based on:
      • Creativity
      • Color utilization
      • Overall presentation
      • Artistic skills
      • Preserving the key elements of the original drawing
    • Participants must bring their own art materials. Only paper will be provided by the organizers.
    • The 80-minute time limit must be strictly followed.
    • The finalists of Round 1 will be announced on Google Classrooms, which will be created shortly after registrations close.
  • Round 2 (Team)
    • Round 2 is a team event (2 members). The teams will be decided by the judges and will be announced in the Google Classroom shortly after Round 1.
    • Topic will be announced on the day of the event.
    • Time – 80 minutes
    • Each team consists of two members.
    • Each member from the team will be blindfolded and will have to choose any one colour from the given box of paints. The participants are expected to use ONLY these three colours in their artwork and MUST follow the given topic.
    • Every team will be given 10 minutes for discussion. Each team will receive two canvases, one for each member of the team, and they will switch with their teammates every 20 minutes.
    • Participants will be judged based on:
      • Creativity
      • Color utilization
      • Overall presentation
      • Artistic skills
    • Participants must bring their own art materials. Only paper will be provided by the organizers.
    • The 80-minute time limit must be strictly followed.
