Love spending your time having your nose in a book? Ever wondered what it is like to be an author yourself? Now is your chance to prove your literary capabilities in Luminous Literature! Join for an exciting way to explore your inner imagination.

Rules

  • Contestants must remain silent to ensure a peaceful environment.
  • All contestants must follow word limit and time frame.
  • Contestants are required to use blue pen only.
  • Paper and pens would be provided by the organizers

Event outline

  • ROUND 1
    • 1st to 4th- Category A
      • Perceptual Artistry- Come up with a prose and story based on a picture shown to you. Dive into a world where YOU are the creator!
    • 5th to 8th Category B
      • Non canonical canons- What is a major detail you would like to change in your favorite fictional series?
      • This is your chance to explore that idea by rewriting your favorite book / movie / tv show in your eyes.
      • Note: The books must be relevant and popular to better the judging process
      • Suggestions include
        • A good girl's guide to murder
        • Percy Jackson
        • Harry Potter
        • The hunger games
        • If you could see the sun
  • ROUND 2
      • Modern narrative writing- Imagine your old age fairytale, but in 2024? Reimagine a historical story but in the current modern age!
      • Suggestions- Ella Enchanted, Clueless, The Great Gatsby, A wrinkle in time
      • OR
      • Musical narrative writing
      • Involve the melodies of music into writing by building a storyline with your favorite artist's music!
      • Suggestions- Create a story with Betty, James and Augustine by Taylor Swift.
